Son dug some new spuds tonight after working on the rafters for the tractor shed.Hotter then blue blazes in the sun. My job was to be OTIS elevator using the bob cat. Now tomorrow comes the new tin roof. Gonna have to tarp the sides until our ship comes in.Had a lot of wear in the carb when the tractor was exposed to the elements, hot/cold. Needed the shed. 12x24x12, so the tractor and cab will make it into the shed.706 with cab requires a lot of height. Now the spuds are just huge and firm. Burbank russet is a great tasting firm potato. In all my years as traveling these are the best spuds I have ever ate. Our thanks to our grower friend for all the information he supplied. In S Sioux Iowa the club owner served Potatos cooked in vats of resin rolled in crystal salt, cut long ways, looked like rubies covered with diamonds. The place was called the Flamingo.Any way , Gonna be eating spuds until the ark Angel toots his horn for me.lol.Wonder if the Flamingo is still there. LOU.
