You are finding out one reason that Bombardier/CAN AM bikes and four wheelers are not as popular. The parts for a Honda or Kawasaki are much cheaper. Plus there are many more units sold/produced so there are after market parts for many of the common stuff.

Good friend and local dealer started selling Bombardier 5-6 years ago. I was in the market so I thought that I would try to keep the money local. I bought a mid range four wheeler. Not the cheapest nor the highest one he sold. I kept it one year. He had it in his shop more than I had it home. The biggest lemon I ever owned.

HE sold 50-70 a year the first few years. Now he may sell 20-30. He does not even advertise them any more. He told me if he could get the parts to service the ones he had already sold he would dump the whole line. He said that they have cost him way more business than he will ever make off of them. The bad four wheelers make people mad and they quit buying the other stuff he has.

I sold it with less than 100 miles on it. I lost 2K on the deal. I bought a Honda and it is four years old and never had had any thing done other than change the oil and filter.

Today's Featured Article - George's Fordson Major - by Anthony West (UK). This is a bit of a technical info to add on to the article about George's Major in the "A Towny Goes Plowing" article. George bought his Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00. There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken by Harold alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that the major was produced late 19 ... [Read Article]
