The Troopers and I compaired the portable readings to a Cat scale reading that was taken the evening before in Grand Forks,ND... Used a calculation of one pound per mile for fuel consumed; The Cat Scale and the DOT portable readings matched ...The trailer Axel weight readings were the same. If you ever do question the portables; request an escort to a certified scale....
