It's like this.... if it's a common block, get another block. If you're trying to salvage some oddball relic and money is no object... there are places that specialise in repairing blocks, heads, etc. In terms of DIY cold repair, Lock and Stitch is probably your best option.... but I wouldn't hold out any great degree of optimism that it will hold without leaking. Fusion welding with cast filler is probably the best process to achieve a homogenous result... and that is a professional repair. For that you send it to an expert.
