Turns out the rifle that the guy wanted to trade is a Moisen Nagant. It has a star with an arrow in it stamped on top of the receiver where it meets the barrel. He tried to tell me he paid $600+ for it, not worth it in my book. It was still in a Liberty Arms box with all the cleaning supplies, bayonet, sling, etc. I do believe that he may have had some of that special ammo, about 5 rounds but the rest was military ball ammo FMJ. thanks for your help everyone.
