I bought a STIHL FS 100 RX String Trimmer last weekend. Same deal: A six pack of oil that I needed anyway and the warranty was doubled to 4 years.
My FS 100 has a four stroke engine that uses the 50:1 fuel to oil mix for lubrication rather than having an oil sump. Makes for a lighter unit that starts much easier and runs better than the typical two stroke.
I also picked up a 2½ gallon NO-SPILL (brand name) gas can. This can is somewhat more expensive, but way better than any of the others that are EPA or CARB compliant. Really simple to operate, and none of the fiddly turn locks and slot arrangements that immediately break and / or cause large amounts of spilled gas. The NO-SPILL is available in 1¼, 2½ and 5 gallon capacities. They have windows showing the amount of fuel in the can. Two gallons of gas and two containers of oil and away you go. Really simple.
