It's been almost 15 years since I installed metal roofing. That job was about as uncomplicated as a roofing job could be. Nothing came through the roof except one plumbing vent and a round metal chimney. The roofing supplier sold me the flashing for the vent pipe. I don't remember how I flashed the chimney, but I knew how at the time, and it must have been right because it hasn't ever leaked.
I'm considering reroofing with metal on the house I'm living in now. This is an entirely different situation---complicated roofline, many vents, chimneys, skylights, etc. that will have to be flashed. Generally speaking, who supplies flashings in this situation? Most of the vents are probably standard sizes, but I wonder about things like the round, tubular skylights.
