Hello John Fulton, A battery that hot maybe toast. A load test will verify that. Load it at 1/2 the amp rating for 15 seconds. You are looking for 4.8 volts or better at the end of the test at 70 degrees F. You need to check the charger as well. Hook it up to another battery verify your setting and do the amp test againg. It probaly lost the contact for the low amp setting, and its contacting the high setitng that is my guess. Guido.
