Hey yall!! Well, I hope that turning an old tractor rim into something non-tractor related isnt considered sacrilege on a tractor forum, but either way, here is something I made a little while back, and just wanted to share.
Last August, a few days before my senior year of high school started, I drove out to the city to buy some new clothes and the like. On my way back out to the farm, I took the backroads and found this old rim sitting beside someone's trash.
At first I was going to scrap it, but I decided it would be a waste. So, I set it aside as one of those "Build this when things are slow and you need $$" projects, and a few weeks back, I started this build.
I thought it was really fun. I used some 1" solid bar stock out of a railing that I scrapped, and tigged that together, even tho Im a self-confessed tig-noob :/
And Im happy with the way that it came out. I build it with the intent to sell it to someone, but my mom kind of fell in love with it, so needless to say, it wont be going too far lol.
Either way, I hope that everyone is having a good weekend, and enjoys the videos. Constructive criticism is always welcome, and I hope I get to build more of these sometime... Enjoy :)
