I have one of those and one of those. I do the pressure by hand as I didn't like the shock absorber type thing to control pressure. I use that thing to hold up the end of it while I am working material in and out of the vise. My power switch is on top such that when the saw cuts through the material, the whole boom falls about half an inch and hits the switch, cutting the machine off.
I went online and bought a couple of bi-metallic blades. That was in '05 and the second one is still in the box. I bought the ones with varying pitch and they really do a nice job of cutting.
