Trucker, if I recall, you're around 55 years old. Why do you act like a kid having a temper tantrum when someone questions your posts? Is it an age thing? You're worse than a gung ho apprentice, straight out of a basic course on welding, who figures he's going to show up the journeymen welders with 20+ years experience. Was being a welder something you've always wanted to do but never got the opportunity to start an apprenticeship and you're bitter about it? Welding is a trade, just like mechanics and machining is a trade. In order to be good at it requires not only thousands of hours under a helmet but also knowing as much,or more,theory about it as well. Do you think a mechanic could survive if he didn't take courses on vehicle computers and electronics? Being able to turn a wrench does not make you a mechanic. Welding is no different. Having burned some rods does not make you a welder. Some things you may know but when you give advice that is potentially dangerous or just plain wrong, I will call you on it. I'm afraid if I didn't someone could be seriously injured and/or have ruined what they wanted to fix in the first place. You can think what you want about me. Just because you don't take the time to understand what I'm talking about doesn't mean it doesn't make sense. I've had others compliment me on my easy to understand explanations. If you had taken some welder training I'm sure you'd understand a lot better. I hope that makes sense to you. I've learned plenty. That's how I've passed all my written and practical tests to get the welding tickets I have. Dave
