Alright.I have seen way more tires blow up than air tanks. Not that I want to see either one blow up,yet you cant just look at a tire and tell if it will blow up or not. Also with radial tires there are pieces of wire that are just as deadly as an air tank blowing up.One time in the shop,in a cage, a tire blew up and cage, tire, and all hit the rafters in a truck shop which is maybe 20 feet or more from the floor. It does register with me.An air tank exploding is something to be concerned about.I did say he should know how to weld.Me saying it,and somebody doing it are another thing. Also if he can weld, and puts a patch on it,and welds it like I said, and if he is a good welder, its not as likely to blow up as if he gobs some weld on a rusted out tank,or a defective tank,Im not sure really which it is.However it could blow up and kill somebody.
