I would invest in a 50 pound bag of wood pellets and some fire starter gel. I caution you against using denatured alcohol as my neighbor cracked the glass in his by using it because it got too hot too quick. I start mine on a handful of woodpellets and gel. I have to let it burn for a few minutes before I can put the corn to it or it will put it out. Ryan
