I'm looking at buying a used Dovetec corn stove. The unit seems to be about eight to ten years old. The current owner has problems with the corn clumping up in the burn basin and starving the stove for oxygen and ultimately putting the stove out. The owner claims to have a moisture content of the corn at less than 15% and has put in a new auger from the holding bin to the fire bin. This model does not have an agitater in the fire bin like other models I have seen. Is there something else I should be looking at or is this simply what happens to the older models. thanks for any help anyone can offer.
