I'm not sure on your sending him email and him not receiving it. I would have to have the addresses. Most likely, the email went into a junk mail or spam category at his end. Some ISPs will not accept a mail message from a 3rd party (our server in this case) without doing something to flag it as spam/junk. Some just outright reject it and neither you nor we see the result. For example, on yahoo, you would have to look in your junk folder to ever see the message.
As far as you seeing 'no email', that is what you will see if the system doesn't think you are logged on. The log on status is known to the system by a cookie on your computer. If the server can't read it, it will think you are a guest and no show the email links. Since all browsers and systems have their own cookie cache, you have to be on the combination you've last posted with to be seen as logged in, plus you have to make sure that your privacy options aren't blocking the cookie request or the cookie insert, or clearing them out after each session or startup of the computer. In the case you mentioned, your xp system has the cookie and is allowing our server to see it. The Win7/IE 10 system is not.
