Just fired up my Perkins A4.318 diesel after a complete rebuild- it was my first. It started up great, but the oil pressure was in the high "yellow" range on the gauge (i.e. higher than the "green" range. Sorry no pressure quantity, just using the MF gauge in the dash. I shut it down to think about it. I am guessing it is just from new bearings. Am I correct?
I have 10W30 with a bottle of the Lucas Zinc additive in the oil pan.
