If any paint gets on the sides of the rubber along the outer edge I just take a solvent rag and wipe the excess paint off. You'll never get those rubber wheels off the press wheel. I have used a cut off wheel to remove cracked rubber tires. New ones cost close to $75 if you want to put them back on the press wheel. This is just my experience with the press wheels.
