EDIT: The tractor is about 1975 International Harvester 454
My clutch seems to be not engaging when I release it. you can tell the wheels want to move forward but it is slipping. Then after a few seconds it will suddenly fully engage, then work fine for a few moments. If I clutch again it will slip again.
Someone had said my release bearing is gone. I think the clutch is done, but I can't explain why it will still engage, if I let it wait.
When putting it in gear the gears will grind if I don't fully depress the pedal, or if I try and shift to quick. So that makes me think the clutch is fine. Any suggestions?
