Hi, I have a 1950 8N thats been sitting under my barn for 4 years. Decided to get it running and sell it. Ran fine when parked. Wouldnt start, so....replaced the battery, cleaned all electrical connections, replaced cap rotor,points, condenser, coil, plugs, drained gas, cleaned sediment bowl, had carb off several times and cleaned, replaced gaskets. Got it started, got it charging, but runs rough, hesitates, backfires, engine bogs a little when you turn the lights on, trying to adjust the carb is no help. Just had the front mount dist off again and noticed th tangs on the back where it fits into the crank look worn, like the dist may have been loose at one time, crank looks ok. any ideas?
