Hello Everyone,
I purchased my fathers old case model SC serial #5516615SC 11 years ago. A long story short, I didn't run it for the past 5 years. this year I decided it was time to put the old tractor back to work. to my surprise after I added gas the tractor started, but it backfires now. While it was running (roughly) I pulled each sparkplug wire one at a time. cylinder 1 and 2 impacted the engine and stalled it (these two are working). cylinder 3 and 4 had no impact. I think the intake valves in 3 and 4 are stuck open. anyone have any ideas about how to fix it without pulling the head? If not, I think i'll do an engine job on it and replace the rings/sleeves, receat new valves. however when I tried to find a price on this idea I ended up giving up. I couldn't find the parts online.
before anyone askes I replace the plugs and wires. checked the magneto on all 4 plugs. electrical is not the problem.
thank you for your help
Paul
