I finished restoring a 47 b approx 3 years ago tractor is as new as a 47 b can get.I am having problem with the tractor running it has approx 3-4 hours on it now.Every time i go to run the tractor I get a Thick black smoke from the exhaust. I did the obvious checked the timing and also tractor used to have fmj4b3 mag installed distributor conversion kit. When I put the tractor back together I had the MArvel schebler carb rebuilt still blew black smoke even with the tractor not running fuel was dripping out of the air cleaner side of the carb. Talked to an old timer said that the Marvel Schebler was not the correct car for the tractor said to get a Zenith carb!! I went out and got a Zenith carb installed it just recently still doing the same thing black smoke and fuel dripping out of the air cleaner side of the carb. Hopefully some one can help me also want to know correct installation of distributor that takes place of the magneto contact me by email thanks alot!!
