Dean Austin, 75, of Shawnee, OK, died March 13, 2011, inShawnee, OK. Dean was born February 21, 1936 inTulsa, OK to James Estie Austin and Myrtle Estella (Edwards) Austin. Dean was a tractor mechanic and a truck driver. Married Judith Paul on August 8, 1972 in Miami, OK. Dean was born in Tulsa, OK, but moved around to various places before settling in Countyline, OK. Dean loved Massey Ferguson tractors. He produced three CDs about tractor repair. He enjoyed helping others on-line with their tractor repair problems. Preceded in death by parents; first wife, Opal Deloris Morgan, mother of his four children; second wife, Judith Paul; sister, Thelma Bernice Cleo; brothers, Lester Austin, Farris Austin and Eugene Austin; step-daughter, Rebecca Collie. Survived by daughter, Dena Collins of Shawnee; sons, Jim Austin of Oklahoma City, Tim Austin of Shawnee, OK, Scott Austin of Shawnee, OK; seven grandchildren, Jeff, Taylor, July, Ashley, Marcie, Lindsey and Shawna; seven great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Etta and Ed McKinnis of Choctaw, OK; lifelong friend, Leroy Osborn and family of Wewoka, OK. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
