I feel that many are disappointed when they pull down here, when they have to pull against tractors that are not antiques in their class , some have down draft carbs ,some use alcohol for fuel , some have turbos , some have their hitches shortened far short of the standard 18 inches from the center of the rear axle. This has become the norm not the exception. Also many feel that weight classes should be done in 500 lb increments instead of 1000 lb. In my opinion this needs to change before an increase in northern pullers will be seen, if not changed, the decline will continue. Also have venues, Zellwood, Inverness, and Ocala happen in three consecutive weekends , that would enable many to pull three pulls in two weeks instead of two pulls in two weeks.
