The point of a two barrel on a Deere is an advantage no doubt. The fact that other models can run carbs that were never designed for there engine that flow more air than a two barrel does is unfair. A Deere needs 2 cubes for everyone else's 1 then we are trying to feed it through a maximum Venturi of 1.375. I've seen tractors with carbs with a 2.5 inlet. Ours after bored are 1.95. The two barrel rule has no effect on whether we come to sigourney or not. We have set ups for both rules but it would be nice to feed the deeres to the same advantage that all the other models get. Figure 20% over rpm if lucky deeres will gain 10-15 hp. What's custom intake worth hp wise? If its equal throw them all in the loop. Like some people have already said your limited on rpm and your limited on mph. I've beat 180 hp m's with a 100 hp A before. When limited in speed and rpm it equals the field.
