I'm not really answering your question here, but if you decide to go with a steel flywheel I can give you some information. Brian Hitt sells some steel flywheels that bolt right up and use the P.T.O hub drive deal for $700-$800 that only can use the 11" factory style single clutch/pressure plate. Rursch Industries gives you two options, one being a flywheel that like Brian's bolts right up and uses the P.T.O hub deal as well for $800+. Option number two from Rursch though is a different setup. With this option number two you get a steel flywheel with pilot bearing installed, clutch shaft, twin clutch discs, McLeod pressure plate, stands, etc. For them to do this though they had to move the starter ring gear forward for the pressure plate to clear the bell housing so therefore you would need to make a spacer for your starter which is not much trouble. This option number two goes for the $2000-$3000 price range from Rursch Industries. Again, I'm not really answering your question, but some information that might or might not be helpful.

Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
