Hello all,
Apple Country's tractor pullers would like to announce the pulling schedule for this year. The pulls are as noted below,
Date. Time. Location. March 9. 11 am. Edneyville April 13. " " " " May 11. " " " " June 8. " " " " July 13. " " " " Aug 10. " " " " Sept. TBD. WNC Ag center Oct 26. TBD. WNC Ag center
There will be both Stock and Modified classes pulling 3,000 to 12,000 pound. Both classes will have trophies for first place and medallions for 2nd and 3rd places. $10 per hook or 3 for $25, 6 for $50 etc. Please see Apple Country Antique Engine & Tractor Assoc website for pulling rules. Please contact Kevin Metcalf at 828-654-7901 with any questions. Also, you can call the above number Friday(pm) before the pull for any inclement weather announcements and Saturday morning for pull confirmation. Information will be on the answering machine.
Also note both locations have loading docks if you need them to unload.

Today's Featured Article - Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
