Hello Rusty, It was brought up two years ago at the meeting for the Hancock Pullers, at that time they switched from 3750 to 3500. It got to be the same tractors pulling in the 3750 and 4000 lb class, so it was pointless. The gentleman that pulls the DC Case was there (from the Bald Bluff club) and said that they would follow suit.
At the same time I don't get to see all the pulls but it seems like from what I've seen, that a 3500 lb class would benefit them. There were several Oliver 60's, Farmall C's, VAC Case's and such(at that time) that either had to pull light or put on 600-1000 lbs to meet the weight of the lowest class. It seems like the lighter classes are getting more popular in some places. Easier to store, easier to transport. I haven't been to very many pulls recently, has there been much interest shown in the Bald Bluff area?
We're thinking about going to Sigourney this year as spectators, will you or your dad be there?
