we made some out of 1/2 in steel plate to fit the inside of pressed steel wheels and fit the dia. of the axle on a d-21 pulling in pro field. didnt cut the axles off just positioned the plate where we needed them to be with correct backspacing and arc welded them on. have seen several tractors this way in upper hp ranges and havent seen a broken axle at the weld point yet. also more rigid and resilient to torque than factory hubs with square key. any good machine shop should be able to fabricate some for you and drill holes according to the rims you are gonna use..just remember to pick your backspacing and rims carefully cause once welded thats where they will stay.
