Are you setting the air pressure at the max amount at the gun as stated on the gun or in the instructions?
Are you setting the pattern AND the fluid flow at their maximum settings? Do that and the air pressure as above and you don't need to make any further adjustments, it is NOT set up like a siphon gun. Also you need to move the gun slower than siphon.
