If you use the CaseIH primer there is no hardener for it, if you use epoxy primer it uses hardener. Whether or not you use hardener in any primer depends on the instruction sheet -- it is NOT an option, it either uses hardener or it doesn't. If it is a urethane hardener it has to have hardener. Hardener IS an option with 2150. But, you need a supplied air system to prevent damage to your lungs. If you don't want to spend another 4-$500 dollars for supplied air, don't use the hardener. An exception is that the hardener or catalyst for most if not all epoxy primers do not contain isocyanates, but read the instruction sheet before you use it. There are many threads about paint on this forum -- I recommend that you read the first 10 pages or so if you have never painted.
