I kind of think both Valspar and Majic paint both is junk. I imagine you have been having good luck with the Valspar because you were using green. If the color had any red in it I'm sure it would have faded on you. I painted a kubota tractor one time with the valspar and within six months it was noticeably faded. Anyway I doubt if the Majic is any worse than the Valspar. It's just that they are alkyd enamels and don't hold up real well. Sherwin Williams makes a line of paint called Sher-Kem. It would be a better line of paint than a alkyd without getting into expensive automotive paints. Personally as much work as it is to paint a tractor I think anyone should use automotive 2k urethane. It's as close to a factory paint job as you are going to get.
