Hi on the later tractors (825/862) we used to tighten the slip clutch nut to about 55 or 60 ish ft lbs. you still want that clutch to slip a little. if it doesn't you run the risk of breaking the hubs or bevel gears in the angle drives. Thats what our 5270 is running for a setting now with the 13" wide front tires on. The last one I fixed for a customer the shafts where about $500 the pair. also if it's been slipping a long while you can wear the friction discs out and then the unit needs a re build. Tighten it and see what happens. Ive seen guys tighten them so tight and they still slip cause the discs are shot
