colophil, you left out the most interesting part of starting a Rumely and that's keeping it going without scaring the neighborhood out of their wits with loud explosions, (Keep shooting gas into her 'till she warms up a little etc.,etc.) Then it's all about weaning it off the gas and getting it on the kerosene or whatever you're gonna run in it? (Sure hope the fuel pump/carburetor primes okay). And you get to meter the fuel with those cute brass knurled knobs on each side of the intake throat. Then if you work it very hard you oughta get some water blended in too to cut down on the pinging. Good old "bump-ba-bumps" like water too when they're workin', don't 'cha know? Rumelys are fun to run....but you gotta run 'em, they don't just set there while you watch. Wonderful Old Tractors though...really.
