worthington, made the mowers first in 1914 including the sicler bar side mower. in the late teens they purchesed modle t motors and light truck chasies and cut them for the use of there gulf corse tractors. I have a early 30's tractor that was my fathers and it was in daily use till the late 60's has been in my garage for 44 years. use it now and then for praide's. in 1940's worthington used dodge motors for a few years and went back to ford. also use to have a 1953 worthington ford modle n. they were all made in stroudsburg pennsylvania till toro bought them out some time in the 50's. if u have a early sicle bar before 37 it was probley a worthington. am getting to old to keep my intrest in the tractor and am going to sell it because i have to menny intrest and lost intrest in the tractor. continental motors were used in the late 40's and mabey very early 50's. i have some old manuals some where. will try to find them. they also use to make compressors that used the same continental motor as the tractor. it may be easer to find an old compressor.
