I also have a Springfield Riding Tractor. Have replaced the engine with a 6hp Briggs. Runs good and shifts good with a lot of work on the belt set up. Take a little tlc on the idleler pulley and belts. Did not have the mower apparatis under so we just use it around the house and for pullinf a barrell train. Still looking for any other info on it though ie:parts or owners manuels
