Hi guys,I asked earlier about replacing the front crank seal. I figured out the problem with the oil leak. The crank pulley is wore out. It doesn't fit tight on the crankshaft and the key way is really worn. I hope it hasn't damaged the crank. I found a new/used crank pulley and am getting it shipped. I only bought the crankshaft pulley and not the damper. I was told to make sure I get it put together correctly between the damper and the crankshaft pulley. What do they mean? Before I was told this I took the 4 bolts out between the pulley and damper and took it apart. I didn't mark it to make sure it went back together the same. So today I went out to the garage worried I lost the orientation between the two and they can only go back together one way with the alignment pegs and bolts. Did I get lucky it only goes one way? Will the one I'm getting shipped align the same way as the worn out one? I assume I can use the key way as a reference on the pulley and mark the damper at the key way on the pulley? This is on a 1755 diesel. Thanks again for all of your help. I am learning a lot.
