I can directly relate to your question. I have an 1850 gas and love it for loader work. A few years ago it was my only tractor capable of pulling a 4 bottom plow on our heavy ground. It has great power and has never let me down. I now plow with a 1755 diesel with the same plow and it uses exactly half the fuel as the 1850 gas did plowing. I always joked to my wife that I should just have a fuel tanker parked at the edge of the field. At that time I was just filling gas cans from the store. I think it has a 35 gallon tank and that won't even get you close to finishing 15 acres of moldboard plowing. I would definetly use it in a jam again becuase I think it has more snort than my 1755 diesel. I really like it, it is just thirsty
