After good advice that my coil may be bad I went ahead and replaced it: series of events as follows: removed distributor, replaced condenser, checked condition and gap of points, they looked fine so left them alone. Replaced coil with new one, replaced distributor cap with new one, replaced all spark plug wires with new ones.. Re-installed distributor with new coil, attached wire to coil, turned key: pressed starter button No spark, not starting. (Gas is flowing to carb) 6volt front mount 1940 9n.. ran fine prior to me messing around with it, other than the coil possibly over heated when brush hogging high grass.. Help I"m up to my elbows in grease and the grass is getting high again!
