I have sold a dozen are so of'em and looked into one never had a issue with them... The lumium issue is a non issue to me as I have see a 1000's of lumium carbs in good working order that are older than N...
I know for a fact those black repo's are iron and hope I never see another one with issues... The issue I had with a new one is they did not completely drill the idle passage all the way so I had to and it was a P.I.T.A. knowing I was gonna break off that tiny drill bit...
I believe ya if you gat a dud you got a dud... I would argue with ya till ell froze over if I had not stuck a magnet to it...
