Turns out we had run out of dishwasher detergent, so to improvise she put regular dishwashing soap in the dishwasher. The kitchen was full almost to the ceiling with soap suds and they were spilling out through the door into the dining room. She cleaned the whole mess up and we had a huge laugh about it. We told her at least the kitchen was really clean now.
