Want to drop a note that the hydraulic pump I received for the 8N ('52 sidemount) is working great. I cleaned it up good in the parts washer and then used brake cleaner spray to clean out the piston holes. I did have to swipe one tiny pin that a cotter key goes through to hold the piston on the left side, on the arm that goes back and forth. The other one is probably in the bottom of the parts washer. I just used the one off of my old one. I'll run a magnet through the mineral spirits to fish it out when I feel like it. It was quite a chore for an evening to get it all cleaned up to my satisfaction. The pump is sort of heavy to maneuver up in place while my wifey made sure the control rod went into place while I got a bolt started. It took a couple of trys to get it in the right spot. It really helped to have the gaskets glued in place from the evening before. I'm glad someone suggested that beforehand. Thanks to everyone for the help on this project! :D
