I put a case of beer against an "original made in the USA" unless it is nearly 60 years old!
No matter where you buy, almost certainly foreign made. I have an original Ford front mount coil. Still works. I believe a lot of the 'bad' reputation of these coils comes from people not really being able to deal with some of the problems of the distributor & distributor/coil interface and possibly poor quality of the foreign made coils. There are many original Ford front mount coils still out there doing just fine after 60 years of use. There have been many unnecessarily tossed aside that were perfectly good. If they were not abused, by leaving the ign on with engine stalled, then an OEM unit will almost always still be good. My opinion & off my soap box for now.
