I've had a growling noise in my loader tractor (8N 254079) since I got it, maybe 3 or 4 years ago. It is quite noisy when in gear , so I got a used main shaft for it and finally got around to removing the loader and am going to fix it while the loader is off. The main shaft and race is pitted so I'm going to change that . Before putting it all back together I plan on mating the transmission and the motor and try see if the growling noise has gone. How ever , if not I am wondering how hard it is to put new bearings in my transmission , I notice in the parts book there is only 4 -7066 bearings and 1- 7120, is this a practical move for a backyard repair? or would I be better off having it done by professionals? TIA

As far as I was aware a fordson was a fordson and it was only through trial an
