I am working on a 1952 8N. I flushed the transmit ion, hydraulic pump, and rear end case with mineral spirits. When done and dried down, I found this unknown part lying on the bottom of the transmission case. It was located on the front bottom of the case, close to the first reduction gear. Does anyone know what it is? I am glad that I found it and looks like it was kind of beat up by the gears. The tractor did shift and function OK.
