On the timing cover gasket leak, have you tried to tighten the nuts (bolts) with the engine warm. Sometimes it helps and the price is right. Just don't get carried away.
Otherwise just live with it (all N's mark their territory) or break out the wrenches and pull the front end again. If you go that route, I would use a CNH gasket. Not much more money and you know you got a good gasket. I'm also a fan of Permatex Black RTV, but never use it on a cork gasket. Remember a little goes a very long way.
