It's ironic when owners (myself included) fret endlessly about what is the absolutely correct color, then paint the tractor with alkyd paint. Alkyds (which is what just about all the tractor paints and general purpose enamels are) are outdated technology, notorious for fading, chalking and changing color with time and sunlight - especially the reds! OK for a working machine that will be kept under cover, but maybe not the best choice for one that will not be. Unfortunately, there is usually a huge jump in price from alkyd to anything substantially better.
