It may help or it may not. Seen that type of thing happen with many machines and it was not the starter Bendex but some other small adjustment like timing or carb or some other odd thing not just right. Check you points and make sure they are set at 0.015 and you get that at all 4 lobes. But yes it could also be the Bendex but it may not be either. I have a car that does the same thing and has since I owned it and I know it is not the starter that causes it but the cold weather. This car will not start in cold weather unless we have a light under the hood at night
