I have been buying A LOT Of kobalt stuff here lately - I bought a car jack, 2 ton unit about 7 years ago, died 3 years later, never gave it a second thought. Last year went in to get a few tape measures for school shop classes, talking to the salesman - he told me that ALL kobalt stuff is lifetime! Went back got the jack and got a brand new one - no hassle, no problems. I have had two tape measures break - kids broke them by accident, gave me two knew ones! I bought the double acting screwdriver last year, 20 bucks, excellent tool - as you twist, screws tighten on the cw and ccw stroke, just like this ratchet! I bought ten sets of their small ratchets - 20 bucks on sale. I would buy it before it goes away - if it ever breaks, a new one will be in your hands quickly. just my 2 cents
