Years ago I thought I would be smart and ad a inline fuel filter to my 2n. I had the same problem and scratched my head for days. I ask the guys on this site and the other one the same thing you are asking. They all told me to get ride of that inline filter and let the screen in the sediment bowl and the screen in the elbow at the carb. do their jobs, and keep them clean. Well me being the hard head I am I thought the problem is in the inline filter so I replace it several times and still the problem was there. I stopped by a Ford tractor mans shop one day and told him the problem, he walked over to the parts hanging on the wall pulled down a fuel line, picked up a wrench, walked over to my 2n, took off the fuel line with the filter, checked the fuel screens, put on the fuel line he had, fired the tractor up and said. If you ever put another inline filter on this N I am going to crown you with this here wrench. I have never had another problem with fuel flow. Those screens work just fine.
