mss3020.........NO ELECTRONIC ignition for 6-volt frontmount dizzy. Hazzta be 12V and still ain't that great. You can replace the points fer $20 (cheap) every year on the kitchen table fer 7-yrs fer the cost ($150) of problematical electronic ignition fer the weird 4-nipple front mount. The 5-nipple sidemount dizzy is a different story.
I am NOT anti-electronic ignition. I hand built one for my 1956 Dodge D-500 HEMI in 1963. I had problems keeping the 4-barrel carb running. The sparkies would snap the blue-snot outta you. My 1969 BMW 2002 with semi-race 7000-rpm engine has electronic ignition. My 1976 MGB sportscar used to have MG's version of electronic ignition. Guess what it has NOW?
